Kaelyn Has a Tooth! (almost)

oh, it's so exciting! I'm so happy :)) My sweet daughter's first tooth popped out yesterday. It's still flush with the surface of her gums, but it finally broke through, and we can see (and feel!) the top of it. Oh sweet baby Kae! Yesterday was a nice break from the crying and screaming of teething, and today we are already back into it - she has another one just under the surface that I can see :/ pobresita.

Ah well, school is a pain in the butt. I have so many things to do, I don't even know which to do first! *which is why I'm blogging lol*. Anyway, the worst part is, I don't have very many tangible assignments, most everything is studying and preperation, which to me is the worst kind of homework! But at least it's in subjects that I am interested in, for the most part.

I am loving my anatomy class. We got to look at the cadavers today, which was pretty neat, and we are going through tissue types right now. For me, the class is so boring, just memorizing structure, function, what-does-what-where-with-what, yada yada yada..but being in lab and seeing it, and actually realizing, ok, I know where this is taking place and why because I can tell you and show you on my own body - now that's learning.

Well, I know this is pretty short, but I do have a lot of homework, so I really should be going. PS, miss you all! :))

First Day :)

Well, Long story short, very good day :)

Short story long...
I got up nice and early and got myself all prettied up for my first day of classes, and my first day of work :) Anatomy was my only class today, and it was at 715 in the morning...bummer! haha! It wasn't all that bad though, it's going to be a difficult, but fun semester.

Then, I had my first work day! It was great! I love my job :) All I do is work in a nursery, but it's still fun.

Then, I came home and got to squeeze my baby! That was the longest time I had ever been away from her, but she did really well (and so did I).

I've spent the evening playing with baby Kae and doing hw, and now, I'm going to shower, do some more homework, and then watch gLee :)

It Seems as if the Days Keep Getting Longer...

Each day I feel like I have more things to do! Although today I'm not going out and about much, I just have quite a bit to accomplish. Like for instance,

x.job interview
x.shower
x.bath (kae)
x.laundry - mountains of it!
x.chores
x.gardening
x.&&spending time with babylove

now that I look at that list, it's not all that much, but everything takes about 10x longer with Kaelyn in tow. boo.

I've been having a lot of back-and-forth thoughts lately, mainly concerning whether or not I should go back to school this semester, or if I should wait til spring. It's so hard, because I want to be there for Kaelyn, and I don't want to have to leave her with a sitter or daycare, but at the same time, I NEED to go to school, if I don't go this semester, then I am setting myself back another year in the nursing program. :/ gah, I hate huge decisions like this.

Yesterday I got a card in the mail from the Pastor at CEFC, and it said, the generic, Thanks for coming to our church, and, we hope you'll come again soon, but it also included a Starbucks card, and said, enjoy a coffee on us! That was so nice! I have never seen a church do that before, and I thought it was really neat! Needless to say, I'll be going back there this week :)

til next time, xo.

A turn for the better :)

This weekend had a rocky start, as I'm sure you all could tell by my previous posts, that aside, it was lovely :)

I was a bit discouraged Saturday morning after multiple go-sees, and even more application hunts, only to be turned down by all by two restaurants. However, I got home and called a woman named Nancy at Covina Evangelical Free Church, and applied for the job as Nursery Worker. And she was so excited to meet me that today she had me come to the service and I had an informal interview!

So I got to the church this morning, and to my sweet surprise the church (CEFC) is led by Pastor Neal Montgomery, yes, Mark's dad. And Caitlin, Daniel, Hannah, Brian, Kaitlyn, Mark & Mason all attend. It was nice to see (some of) them, although I didn't stay long enough to talk. Next week! :)

Needless to say - I think I got the job. No for sure yes's yet, but I'm praying :))

Tonight Dominic's mom is making a yummy Thanksgiving-style dinner, and I have a lot to be thankful for. God works in mysterious ways. After this past week, I was ready to give up the job hunt, and take a semeseter off at APU to watch Kae. But after this weekend, and a probable job prospect, I am ready and rejuvenated to work on Kae's daycare status, and I am certain that it will all work out in the end. (the end really being the beginning, seeing as she's only 6 months old ;D)

Anyway, that's all for now, lots to organize still before school starts, and I want to take advantage of Kae's naptime :))

xo, til next time.

I'm just too cheery

I got told that today. I really don't think that I am too cheery! I mean, I'm a happy person, but not too much.... hmm. lol. Anyway, I am in a particularly good mood though. So last week I took my midterm for my Luke/Acts class, and I got a 78% on it. And I was kind of bummed, but whatever, right? Wrong. So turns out there was a glitch in the program and I really got an 87% :) so, I'm pretty happy - to say the least.

My family is so important to me. I don't even remember what life was like before Kaelyn, and I remember even less about life before Dominic. It's so wonderful, really it is. I suggest that everyone have a baby, it doesn't matter who you are or how old, just have one. Then, and only then, will you experience true love :) okay, so that's a bad idea, but really, it's great :)

I love flickr. I mentioned that in my blog "Things that make me Happy" but, I wanted to mention it again. Almost every picture that I get, minus the ones of Kaelyn, come from there. :) All of the pictures in this blog entry are flickred as well :)

I always used to wish I had a sister. Random, I know, but growing up that was one thing I always wanted soooo bad! Also, I always wished that I had a twin somewhere out there, that my parents weren't able to take care of or something, and that one day, I'd meet her - just like the Parent Trap! haha, oh my dreams!

Also, when I was younger, I was very ambitious. I wanted to be a farmer by day and a belly dancer by night. Not at all promiscuous, I know :) haha

So, I am addicted to Ben & Jerry's ice cream. I don't know why it has to cost so dang much, but I buy it anyway. My favorites are, Phish Phood, Cinnamon Bun, Imagine Whirled Peace & Americone Dream. :) Mmmmm

Anywho, cramps suck! Can I just say, that being pregnant were some of the best nine months of my life, only because 'Mother Nature' left me the heck alone! Can I always be pregnant? Please?

AHH in exactly 4 hours and 55 minutes (it's 3:05pm) the brand-new season of Big Brother starts!!! Channel 2, 8pm - do it!! :)

Well, that' s all I can think of to write right now. I've rambled quite a bit, sorry! Anyway, off to enjoy the rest of my B&J's and my cramps!

till next time!...xo

Accomplished.

That's how I feel right now. And it is such a wonderful feeling! I just finsished (well, two hours ago) my exegitical paper for Luke/Acts - it was a beast - but it's good and done! Also, I have the next two weeks completely planned out so I know what I'm doing, and I've got everything under control. I love having everything in a schedule, and my poor planner proves this. But, I loveee having it like this - I call it organized chaos :)

Speaking of chaos, I am already thinking about packing for our trip to Montana. Its 10 days, which isn't too bad, but when you assume that Kaelyn will wear 2-3 outfits everyday (spitup, poop etc. makes for more than a single outfit) plus she needs clean pajamas every other night, and diapers, and socks, and bibs....the list just goes on and on - and we haven't even gotten to me yet! But, it's okay, at least I'm starting early!

Tomorrow I get to hang out with Dominic all day :) yippee! It's because it's one of his 2 days off this week. We are going to hopefully put up my blinds, and we're going to watch Big Brother! Yay! The season premiere is on tomorrow night, channel 11 at 8pm! You should definitley check it out!

I was just looking over my school schedule for this fall - it's intense! I'm going to have zero social life, so I apologize now to all my friends! I've got Laboratory for Health Sciences, Organic Chemistry for Nursing Majors, Anatomy Lecture, Anatomy Laboratory, Intro to Philosophy & 1 & 2 Samuel. Yuck! But, oh well, I just keep telling myself, I gotta get through this, if not for me, for my daughter. She needs someone who can provide for her. Only 4 1/2 more years sweet pea, and mommy can provide for you! :)

I just wanted to share one of my favorite pictures of Kaelyn :)

Friday is girls day! :) I can't wait to hang out with Lindsay and Katie. And we're having wingstop, which I've never had, so it should be interesting! Plus, I love, love, love going in the pool, and so does Kaelyn. I'm sure we will all have a good time, and I'm sure Lindsay will take 100 thousand beautiful pictures!

Well, I suppose it's time for me to go, Kaelyn's getting fussy, so I'll go rescue my mom, and I've got to get to work on cleaning my room for Friday. One of the downfalls to having a baby - everything takes 5 times the amount of time to accomplish!

til next time - xo

Don't Stop Believein'

Ahh, I know that like everyone and their brother loves this song, but I just have to put it out there that I love it too! I do love the original, Journey is amazing! - but there is just something about the cover by Glee Cast that is just intoxicating! Speaking of songs, another one of my latest favorites is "No Yo Me Doy Por Vencido" by Luis Fonsi I added the video for you to enjoy! For those of you that do not speak Spanish it translates to "I do not give up" :) Pretty much story of my life.

Yesterday was Father's Day. :) Dominic's first. Ahh, it was very sweet. I spent the day/afternoon with my dad, and then when Dominic got off of work we spent the evening together. It was so nice! And, I had lamb for the first time - delish! :))

Today I talked to my cousin Georgia, she and I are probably the closest of all my cousins. And I love it :) She's the one who took me to England/Wales/Ireland for my 18th birthday. Anyway, we are going to see Harry Potter together! yay! It's basically tradition.

Today was the start of my last Summer school class. It doesn't seem to bad, actually it's quite refreshing after my last one! (rolls eyes) And the prof is so sweet, she's actually making an effort to get to know us, and she loves hearing about our lives :)

Tomorrow I'm going to get a mani/pedi - so excited! I haven't been in quite a while! Dominic's mom gave me a nail gift certificate for Mother's day, and it's about time I put it to use. I want to get my toenails really cute, not sure what, but some cool, crazy pattern, or a bright, fun color is what I'm craving. These are pretty cute :)

For Miss Katie :)

My new Hannah Montana buddy-to-be! I cannot wait until we watch the movie together, ahaha, that will be epic :)

Anywho. I really should be sleeping, especially since I have alot to do tomorrow, but, oh well! I have the house to myself this weekend, well, minus Kaelyn of course, but it should be interesting. Am I the only one who finds it odd that I am 19 years old and I have never stayed home alone for a weekend before? Hmm.

Today was my last day of summer school...until Monday. boo. But, I am very happy to have finished one semester of Spanish, yay! And class today actually was really fun, I got to take Kaelyn, and we had a little fiesta. Divertimos muchos :)

Saturday I am going on a mini-shopping spree, and I'm a bit excited. I'm not sure what I am going to get, as there isn't anything I really need, but I want to get myself just a little something :) I also have to get Kaelyn some white (preferably satin) booties for her baptism in two weeks, and I have to get Dominic a Father's Day gift. :) That one I'm pretty excited for. I was reading Katie's blog earlier, and she said how she's not a real swell gift giver, I am her exact opposite :) haha.

So this week I had my first ever run-in with a collections agency - scary! Haha, I had three things a year overdue from the library, and it was over 100$ in fees. So I found two of the three items, I have no idea where that other book went, and I took them down to the library, and the lady was so nice to me, I think I probably looked like I was going to cry. And she was able to reduce my fee to 15$ Sweet! Hence the money for the shopping spree :)

Kaelyn is fast asleep right now. I am so enjoying being a mother. Much more than I thought I would. While I was pregnant I looked at my near future as a chore, I HAVE to change diapers, I HAVE to feed the baby, I HAVE to rock her to sleep, ... etc. But now, although I'm still no fan of diapers, it's gotten to the point where I love every little moment that I get to spend with her. And when she's sleeping, it takes every ounce of willpower not to wake her up to play with her. Ahh, my sweet, sweet daughter.

Speak of the angel, she's waking up. Her ears must be ringing. This is my cue to exit stage right.

till next time. xo.

First Test Today

In my spanish class. I'm a little nervous, I'm sure I'll do fine, but I always get nervous right before a test. We shall see :)

Lunch tomorrow with miss Katie, I'm pretty dang excited, for two reasons :) 1. I am obviously excited to see/catch up with Katie, 2. I have never been to Rubio's haha.

I am addicted to working out! I guess that's a good thing, and it's not like I work out 3 hours a day or anything, but I work out in short 15-20 minute bursts 3 times a day! Only problem, I'm not losing as much weight as I'm hoping for :/ lame!

This morning, Kaelyn was yelling at me, oh dear, it was so cute! First she was just babbling away in baby talk, I was talking to her and she was talking back. Then, all of the sudden, she was yelling, in baby talk of course! And it wasn't crying, or upsetness, it was just rasing her voice! It was very, very cute.

I want to get a pedicure. I think that next time I've got a chunk of money I'm going to splurge and treat myself. :)

Well, that's all for now
til next time...xo

Successfull Shopping Trip

Yep, it sure was! I got a ton of stuff! Favorites include two pairs of shorts, a wrap dress, a cute lacy top and drum roll please - a swimsuit :) It's too cute, yellow and black and white. But, not bumbee looking at all haha. I'd say it was a successful trip.

So, Hell's Kitchen Finale last night, what a bust, the cockiest person won, gah I hate that! Oh well, the person I wanted to win (Laura) can go on to bigger and better things.

I am so addicted to Pick Up Stix. They have the best chicken in the entire world! Everytime I go I get the house chicken with brown rice and a spring roll...yumm! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

I don't have a very good feeling about this online class that I am taking. It seems like it's a little too advanced for me, and it's only a 100-level course! But, we shall see. I turned in my first assignment yesterday, all it was was a paragraph response to our readings, so hopefully I did well. My other class though, is sooo easy! It's elementary spanish 1, and we are moving at such a slow pace! I feel bad for the people in there who don't know spanish though because he jumps around a lot. He has yet to explain how to conjugate verbs, yet he expects everyone to know which form to use and when...oh well.

I get to spend the day/evening with Dominic! Oh, I am so excited! Since I have started my classes I haven't been able to spend more than a few minutes with him while we are exchanging the baby :/. But tonight - is us time! yay!

Wii Fit update - I am 2lbs lighter! yay me!

Well, Kaelyn just woke up from her nap, and I gotta get lunch anyway,
till next time...xo!

First Day of Summer School

And I already wish I hadn't signed up for it. Bleh. At least I know one person (although it's an online class so even that doesn't help me) Whatever. I'm taking Spanish and History....I just need to stop talking about it, it's making me depressed... gah.

Anyway. I am really proud of myself, I have been very productive this week. I know, it's only Tuesday (Wednesday, technically, by 20 minutes), but really, I normally stay in bed until about 1 in the afternoon, and then stay in pj's till it's time to get ready for class. But these last two days I've been up and at-em by 9, and I've been making a point to do my hair and makeup while Kaelyn has her Early Afternoon nap. :) And I feel like it's really made a difference in my mood. I feel more energized, and I feel prettier. And when I feel pretty, I feel happy, and when I'm happy little things like summer school and the fact that Dominic is never home don't seem to make me as unhappy...

Speaking of Dominic, he's applying for a new job :)) yay! He HATES working at Stater Bros. and has for a while, it'll be nice to see him change it up!

Well, I know this is pretty short, but I gotta get to bed, I have loads of homework tomorrow...btw does anyone want to buy a Coach Keychain? It's authentic and brand new, and I'm selling it for $40...let me know :)

till next time...xo.

So I Took The Weekend Off,

I thought I deserved it, seeing as it was my first Mother's Day! Oh, and it was a great one! I had such a nice time with my family..and I love that I am a mother, it's such an incredible feeling :) My brother, Matthew, made me the sweetest wall plaque, which he painted himself. And he wrote a card that said "I know you're not my mother, but you are a great mother to Kaelyn, Happy Mother's Day!" awww, makes my heart melt :))

In other news, I start school tomorrow, I have my first ever online class, which should be interesting, and I've got Spanish 4 nights a week. Blah. lol. I am excited about my Spanish class though, I'm minoring in good ol Espanol, so it shouldn't be too difficult. The online class may be a toughie though, it's History..and me and history go together like peanut butter and pickles...

Today Dominic and I heard a REAL laugh from Kaelyn, it was sooo sweet. Last week I was playing with her and she had little gurgles and giggles, and I was soo excited, and then today Dominic and I were playing with her and I tickled her and she laughed and laughed...oh it was precious. I think both of us were on the edge of tears. She's incredible. End of story.

Well, that's all for tonight I suppose, I've gotta be up early to take care of my little stinker

till next time ...xo.
