My first Shipment!

Well, I did it, I shipped my little 2.5 lbs package - and boy oh boy do I have some goodies! Sadly I have no working cameras anywhere in my house, so we will have to do without pictures this round - next time! These are in order from least favorite to favorite (although I loved EVERYTHING)

Aude Eddie Ombre Top - Aqua/Smoke size 3

When this top came up on crazy sale, I could not wait to buy it, although I really wanted the lilac/petal color, I am really happy with this top. It's soft and sheer, form-fitting but not clingy. My only improvement would be to make it about 2 inches longer. It hits me right at the top of my pants, and I can't get away without an undershirt (which is no biggie, just an observation). If/when any of the lilac/petal ones come around I will definitely be purchasing one!

Fresh Karat Buttercup Headband - Yellow

This headband was exactly what I expected - a headband! lol. I do love it, although I don't think it's worth more than $5, so I wouldn't purchase another one unless it was on crazy sale. I do love that it doesn't slide around at all, I've been wearing this baby for about 7 hours now and it hasn't budged, I can hardly feel it!

Aude Madden Tank - Dandelion & Smoke size 2

I debated which brand I wanted to buy a couple of basic tanks from, and honestly, it came down to the price. For $12 a piece - you can't beat these Aude tanks. I'm going to snatch them up in every color. They are snuggly, soft and sheer enough to not add bulk, and thick enough to be worn alone (the darker one only). I love the colors I got, the Dadelion is a real soft yellow, and smoke is a foresty green, but with more a grey color. They're perfect. I would suggest going down a size if you are inbetween sizes. For the t-shirt by Aude I got the size 3, but these tanks are meant to be tighter, and they feel like they'll give as I wear them throughout the day.

Aude Meg Legging - Creme size 3

This purchase was a close third, I almost put it as my second, but they are so see-through, that's the ONLY flaw! I bought these with the intention of wearing them as pants. I decided that if they were see-through I would return them and get some other ones somewhere else. The best laid plans....I put these babies on and it's, "as soft as baby angels" (pollywog). I think that these were literally made out of clouds! I love the fit too, it's hard to find spandex that don't give you muffin top & don't fall down - these are them! I wish I had scored some in lilac as well!

Zensei Tote Bag - Navy

This was my cart-opener. I was actually looking for designer jeans and I stumbled upon this site, saw the current sale and fell in love with this bag! I couldn't be happier! It's got long straps, so I can wear it on one shoulder or across my chest. It's got 6, count them 6 deep outer pockets, and a spacious inside compartment. It is perfect for all my school items. I love the neutrality of it too, bags with flashy desgins I change out all the time, this one's a keeper!

&& finally.....drumroll please

Zensei Tulip Track Jacket - Night size 3

This was my *accidental* purchase. I actually purchased the linen version of this jacket, and size 3 was the biggest they had, so I went with it. When I got this one I was surprised that it fit with room to spare - turns out, RTC sent the wrong jacket by mistake - not a problem it's my favorite! It's incredibly soft, it's so light-weight, but sooo warm at the same time! I feel like wearing this all day, everyday! I wasn't too sure about the pattern at first, I don't wear anything with Chinese symbols or artistic prints, but this is beautiful. I think I could have pulled off a size 2 in this one, but I am going to stay with this one, it's a comfy/classy look :) get one if you can, so worth it!

Well girls, that's all for now. I'll be taking a bit of a shopping break for now, as I need to save up some moolah for baby's first Christmas! I'll be around, and, when I've got time, I'll be blogging. Keep in touch! Mwah!

Buenas Noches mis Lectores!

Estoy enamorado de M & M's Dark Chocolate Primas! Ellos son para morirse! :) Mmm.

More RTC - Aude Meg Legging

Now you have to understand, I'm one of those people who advocates spandex-as-pants. I think that with the right body, and the right outfit, it looks super cute. So believe me when I tell you, I prayed about whether or not to buy these spandex, but I am sooo glad I did. :) Plus, they were only 15 bucks, and really, who says no to that?

Aude Meg Legging - Creme $68 $15

These leggings look so soft and comfy, and although I didn't get them for $12.87 (on crazy sale) I think it was worth the extra three bucks, just in case I decide to return them :) Also, they have a cute little shell button detail on the bottom, to make them a little different. This will be my first pair of white leggings, I'll let you know how the see-thruodometer reads ;). If I like these I will definitely buy the lilac ones when they come round again! Till my next purchase! Don't forget to visit redtagcrazy.com and get yourself something nice! :))

Inspiration Comes in the Most Peculiar Places

Last night, after all of the festivities and costumes and candy. After Dominic had left and the baby was in bed, when all was silent and calm - I started my homework. I know, I know, kind of a dumb climax, but you must understand a few things before I go on.
  • I have had this assignment for 1 month
  • the assignment is to write a 7-8 page paper on 2 chapters of the book of 1 Samuel
  • I suck at writing papers for Bible class
  • it's due Tuesday, 10pm
Needless to say, I was SOL. Nevertheless, I started my paper. The first page is an outline...and I was stuck. I worked it and reworked it, it just seemed like I was writing is cirlces. After an hour, I just gave up. I turned on the radio and went to hop on facebook. As I did, these were the lyrics I heard

"You don't need to give up
I am always on your side"

Needless to say, I got my butt right back to working on that outline - and I pumped it out And, it's good! Like, seriously I was divinely inspired. I am so blessed to feel God working in my life!

So then, to top it all off, I woke up this morning, and this was my verse of the day

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Romans 8:28

Long story short - I'm in a good mood :) I just want to leave you with this, make sure you listen to the chorus!

Halloween

Halloween for me brings back soooo many memories. I love to dress up, and I love to go trick or treating, I did it until I was 17 :) no lie. I have, in recent years, opted to make a costume, instead of buy one. (partly because I did something with a group of friends, and partly cause I'm cheap). This year, Dominic, Kaelyn and I had to do something special, as it was Kae's first Halloween. So we went as - brace yourself - the flintstones. :) That's right, the yaba - daba - doo, no shoes, cavepeople flintstones :) Pictures will be up soon.

I know what your thinking, it's not even noon on Halloween, what do you mean you "went" as the finstones. Let me elaborate. Last weekend Dominic's family and the three of us went to a Halloween party, and that is when we dressed up. There is a very good chance that we are not dressing up tonight, especially since we assumed Dominic would work, and I've got a crap-load of studying to do. Long story short, we are being homebodies this Halloween. :) I wouldn't have it any other way. Although next year, and subsuquent years, when Kaelyn will actually understand what is going on, we will trick or treat :)

For all of you going to a party, or going trick or treating, or whatever else you may be doing, have fun tonight! I hope that you have an absolute blast! Let your inner kid out, and just have fun :) That said, be safe! I want to see all my friends tomorrow, so no drinking and driving, not stupid acts of drunkeness (or stupid acts of soberness, you never know!). I love you all and

More RTC - Aude Tanks

On RedTagCrazy, everyone's staple is Aude and LinQ. I'm excited to say that I have now purchased 3 Aude shirts :) See my last RTC blog for my other top, and I got two tanks today :)

To me, tanks are a basic staple that EVERY woman should have in their wardrobe. Not only should they have a tank, but they should have about a BILLION tanks :) Melo-dramatic, me? Never.

All I got today was
Aude Madden Tank $66.00 $13.75

Dandelion & Smoke

The description for this tank on RTC is, "Casual, comfortable and abnormally soft... yep, that pretty much covers it all. This Madden Racerback Tank is so wonderful, you'll find excuses to wear it every single day." I can't wait. :)) More soon, I'm sure :)!

My RTC Blog

I am so excited for my Red Tag Crazy purchases! I have three! :) & let me tell you, I have already saved over $100! amazing! quick info about all that I have purchased thus far

Zensei Canvas Tote Bag in Navy - $49.99 $15

This bag look just adorable. I have read many reviews about how wonderful it is! I cannot wait to see for myself!

Aude Eddie Ombre V-Neck in Aqua/Grey - $62.99 $12.87

This top I wanted to get in petal/lilac but they were completely out, so I settle for the other color (not pictured). I can't wait to get it, Aude brand is the staple comfy clothing in any star's closet, I saved a TON on this!

Fresh Karat Buttercup headband in Yellow - $16.99 $5

This headband was a whim purchase. It was more of a "I wonder if I'll like it" than a "I have to have this" like the previous two were. I'm pretty sure I'll like it, but for five bucks, I don't feel like I'll lose anything if I don't.

That's all for now, I'll update you all as my shopping cart grows, and I'll let you know how these work out when I receive them!

Like what you see? Want to snag your own items at ridculous prices? 50-80% off can't be beat! Head over to redtagcrazy.com and enter my email in the Promo Code box at checkout for $5 off! byondblnd11@yahoo.com Have fun! :)

My Epiphany/Recommittment Blog

While singing gospel songs in the shower this evening (<-- usual), I found myself thinking about what my cousin said to me earlier.
“you are on fire for the Lord tonight :D”

And after thinking about it, I came to the somewhat sad realization that other than during brief moments at church, or chapel, or listening to air1, it’s been a long time since I have been really fired up for the Lord. It’s been a couple of years, actually. And I’m not ok with that.

The past is the past, I can’t go back to high school, or to last year, and in fact, I don’t want to. What I want is to make a change. I want to be fired up for the Lord all the time. Not just at church. Not just at APU. Not just with my Christian friends. I want to be fired up all the time.

So, you ask, why are you posting this? Well my friends, I need help. I can’t do this alone! I’ve spent the last 2ish years living with God, and I want to be living for God. I want to pray, I want to praise, I want to seek, I want to know, and I want to love God. And I need to be surrounded by people (Christian and otherwise) who will support me. I want to be non-judgemental, I want to be faithful, I want to be a servant to the Lord. But, honestly, I don’t even know where to start.

Comments appreciated :)
Suggestions desired :)

Thanks. Goodnight. God Bless!

"Savior, He can move the mountains,
my God is mighty to save, he is mighty to save
Forever, author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave, Jesus conquered the grave"

I *wish* that I could resign sometimes!

**taken from pattisorginals.wordpress.com **
I do not claim any of the following to be my own, original work, I just enjoyed reading it, and wanted to share it with you. :)

resign

I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year-old again.

I want to go to McDonald’s and think that it’s a four star restaurant.

I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks.

I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them.

I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer’s day.

I want to return to a time when life was simple; when all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, but that didn’t bother you, because you didn’t know what you didn’t know and you didn’t care. All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make you worried or upset.

I want to think the world is fair. That everyone is honest and good.

I want to believe that anything is possible.

I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again.

I want to live simple again. I don’t want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness, and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of miles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind, and making angels in the snow.

So … here’s my checkbook and my car keys, my credit card bills and my 401K statements. I am officially resigning from adulthood.

And if you want to discuss this further, you’ll have to catch me first, cause … “Tag! You’re it.”

went on a run/walk this morning

And it felt great. I am wide-awake, and pumped for my Anatomy practical today. After kicking ass on the test yesterday, I feel stoked for today, although I am going to do some studying before I go, I don't want to jinx myself! haha

--"She brought an airhorn because so many people fell asleep yesterday"

oh yes, that was from Dominic
oh yes, he was referring to his teacher
oooooh yes, he was one of the sleepers yesterday!

I would love to be there today when he inevitably falls asleep :))

So, I'm pretty sure I'm obsessed with Glee. And please tell me, how could you NOT be??!??

i know i already blogged today

but, I couldn't resist, I just got flowers from my hubby. Who else? lol. Beautiful, I am too lucky :))
be jealous girls, be very jealous :)) goodnight!

Amanda inspired me

Amanda, from the most amazing blog ever (click here to read it) just blogged about polyvore, which is a great site where you put together a collection of clothes and accesories that you have, you want, or you lust! So, of course, being the copy-cat that I am, I made one, and well, here it is! Enjoy!

Oh Hello Anatomy, thanks for letting me kick your butt!

:) Needless to say, I think I did well on the test :)!! Other than that, life is....life! gLee is on tonight, so that's exciting, and I got to spend some time with Dominic today, so I'd consider today a success :)

Slim Fast

Doesn't taste as bad as I expected it to. Given, it's not good, but hey, dieters can't be choosers. Anyway, I've got a Chem quiz today, and surprisingly, I feel pretty ready for it. I've also got an Anatomy test tomorrow and an Anatomy practical Thursday. Those I don't feel quite as ready for, but I've got time :) anywho, Right now I'm watching sweet Kaelyn play with a Winnie-the-Pooh toy. It's pretty darn cute :).

I don't have much else to say, so instead I'll post my to-do list.

x.fold/put away laundry
o.get ready for school
x. study for 15 min. more for chem
o.do 1&2 sam. hw
x.pick up Anna from school
o.hang out with Dominic
x.study for Anatomy test
o.do more laundry
x.work on Dominic's gift
o.work out
x.watch ruby and the rockits (bahah I'm so lame)

:) have a good day all!

Monday, September 21, 2009

For the record, I can't wait until christmas. ?Por que tu preguntas? Porque es mi dia favorito. :) y proque tengo un regalo magnifico para Dominic :)

Let me tell you something

I hate dieting. I hate working out. I also hate the fact that I have huuuuuuge freaking cravings as soon as I decide to diet/work out. wtf? Gah, it's actually not bad, I love the high you get from excersizing, I also love knowing that I'm putting good food in my body. It's just really hard to have self control over eating habits. That's one thing I'm really bad at exercising, self-control.

anyway, on a lighter note, stinking Kaelyn has 2, count em, 2 teeth! Yay! also, she is sitting up completely unassisted now! I'm so proud :))

well, I really don't have much to say, I should be studying for anatomy and chem, or I should be doing 1 & 2 Sam. hw. whatever. I'll probably go make some lunch.

peace :))

Kaelyn Has a Tooth! (almost)

oh, it's so exciting! I'm so happy :)) My sweet daughter's first tooth popped out yesterday. It's still flush with the surface of her gums, but it finally broke through, and we can see (and feel!) the top of it. Oh sweet baby Kae! Yesterday was a nice break from the crying and screaming of teething, and today we are already back into it - she has another one just under the surface that I can see :/ pobresita.

Ah well, school is a pain in the butt. I have so many things to do, I don't even know which to do first! *which is why I'm blogging lol*. Anyway, the worst part is, I don't have very many tangible assignments, most everything is studying and preperation, which to me is the worst kind of homework! But at least it's in subjects that I am interested in, for the most part.

I am loving my anatomy class. We got to look at the cadavers today, which was pretty neat, and we are going through tissue types right now. For me, the class is so boring, just memorizing structure, function, what-does-what-where-with-what, yada yada yada..but being in lab and seeing it, and actually realizing, ok, I know where this is taking place and why because I can tell you and show you on my own body - now that's learning.

Well, I know this is pretty short, but I do have a lot of homework, so I really should be going. PS, miss you all! :))

I Loooove the way my new titles look!

I just got done changing up all the cute fonts for both this blog, and my etsy store blog. I got all of my fonts, and the instructions how to do it at the coolest site, kevinandamanda.com :))

anyway, Kaelyn's first tooth is just about grown in! It's finally cut the surface of her gums, but it's still flush, but it seems as if the painful part is done! Yay baby Kae! :)) that makes me sooo happy! Any who, I've just been doing homework (lots of it) and making lots of pretty new hairbows! I am really excited for all the new things happening this semester, with school, and etsy, and Kaelyn, and with me and Dominic :) This is looking to be a good year! :))

ps, I miss Facebook! haha

Etsy Update!

Thanks for bearing with me while I've been working! I've finally got the new blog up, it's for all things etsy, head on over to see what things are taking place by clicking here. Other than that, this blog is back to my boring old life :))

I broke my facebook pact. I told Dominic that I wouldn't go on Facebook allllll semester. Not because he wanted me to, but because I thought that it would help me stay focused and not laze the days away. Well, it did help me focus, but I cheated, haha. Oh well, my new pact is I will only go on it on the weekends.. I thnk I can stick to that one. Anyway, I know that this is a super short blog...but I've got cleaning and such to do while baby Kae is sleeping...I'm not even going to put tags haha.

PS Lindsay, Katie, Mat, Danielle & Dominic - you all are blog-laggers! Update already, sheesh!! :)) kisses to all of you!

First Day :)

Well, Long story short, very good day :)

Short story long...
I got up nice and early and got myself all prettied up for my first day of classes, and my first day of work :) Anatomy was my only class today, and it was at 715 in the morning...bummer! haha! It wasn't all that bad though, it's going to be a difficult, but fun semester.

Then, I had my first work day! It was great! I love my job :) All I do is work in a nursery, but it's still fun.

Then, I came home and got to squeeze my baby! That was the longest time I had ever been away from her, but she did really well (and so did I).

I've spent the evening playing with baby Kae and doing hw, and now, I'm going to shower, do some more homework, and then watch gLee :)

Sunday, August 30, 2009

Busy Weekend :)

and you know how I love busy:)

Well, we'll start Thursday, when Dominic and I saw Inglorious Basterds. Which was, by the way, hilarious! Both of us were expecting a true story/based on a true story type of movie, and sadly it wasn't the case. I say sadly only because I wish that this story had been true! ha! You'll have to see it yourself - I'm no spoiler.

Friday. I didn't do a whole bunch Friday, but I did go and buy a baby shower gift for Ashley (and baby Riley). Also, Friday I made a couple of hairbows for Ashley's shower, and I made one for Kaelyn's outfit for the shower.

Saturday. First, I went to Ashley's shower. I had a great time! We played games, ate good food and talked and talked - and of course Ashley opened her gifts! She got some really great stuff, I'm so excited for her and her daughter! Then, after the shower I went to Dominic's and spent some time with his family. At 6 Dominic went to work, and at 7 all of the girls, and Tracie's friend all went to Pizza and Stuff -yum! We had a great dinner and talked and talked and talked :) and Kaelyn was so well-behaved :))

Saturday/SundayAM. Came home to find my dog was having puppies! We were expecting this, although we though she wouldn't have them till Tues/Wed. It was so neat to watch! I was realllllly excited! Piper had 5 puppies, but one of them didn't make it. So we now have 7 doggies!!! ahhh :))

Sunday. I had every intention of going to church this morning, really I did. But when you wake up at 6 in the morning, after having gone to bed at 1, and after having played veterinarian all night, church doesn't sound all that appealing. So, instead I went to breakfast with mt family and coldstone with Dominic.

all in all good weekend! :))

Friday, August 28, 2009

Soooooo Excited!

For Ashley's Baby Shower tomorrow!!! :) and hopefully tomorrow I hear about the job that I applied for :)) good day today, got to spend some time with babylove, which was nice indeed! I made an adorable hairbow for Kaelyn to wear at the shower, and I made two for Ashley's little girl! I can't wait to meet her! September 27th can't come soon enough, I want to have playdates! teehee! Well, I know this is short, but I promise to give you all a long post tomorrow ;)

til then, xo.

It Seems as if the Days Keep Getting Longer...

Each day I feel like I have more things to do! Although today I'm not going out and about much, I just have quite a bit to accomplish. Like for instance,

x.job interview
x.shower
x.bath (kae)
x.laundry - mountains of it!
x.chores
x.gardening
x.&&spending time with babylove

now that I look at that list, it's not all that much, but everything takes about 10x longer with Kaelyn in tow. boo.

I've been having a lot of back-and-forth thoughts lately, mainly concerning whether or not I should go back to school this semester, or if I should wait til spring. It's so hard, because I want to be there for Kaelyn, and I don't want to have to leave her with a sitter or daycare, but at the same time, I NEED to go to school, if I don't go this semester, then I am setting myself back another year in the nursing program. :/ gah, I hate huge decisions like this.

Yesterday I got a card in the mail from the Pastor at CEFC, and it said, the generic, Thanks for coming to our church, and, we hope you'll come again soon, but it also included a Starbucks card, and said, enjoy a coffee on us! That was so nice! I have never seen a church do that before, and I thought it was really neat! Needless to say, I'll be going back there this week :)

til next time, xo.

So, I'm think a new hair do is in order.

mhhm, It's that time! Here's what I'm thinking

first, I'm dying it this color.

second, these bangs, but side-swept

and finally, this haircut!! :)) I love it :)

ooh I'm so excited!

anywho, I had a fabulous time at My Gym today with Kaelyn. She is such a good exerciser! haha! Speaking of Kaelyn, I put her in her crib this evening, and she was on her back, lengthwise to the crib...I just checked on her and she's on her tummy, widthwise...crazy baby!

Tonight I was watching Food Network Challenge (before Big Brother, of course) and they made the coolest sugar sculpture!

I wish I could find a better picture, but that's all I could find anywhere! Anyway, the contestants had 10 hours to make these sugar skyscrapers, they had to be a replica of a real building, and this one was the Empire state building. They could only use sugar, water and eggs, and it had to have door(s), windows and some time of balcony. Phew, it was intense.

well, that's all for tonight, see you tomorrow!

til next time, xo.

[Water] for thought

I've seen this video before, yet Patrick Hennessy posted it on Facebook this morning, and I decided to share it with all of you.

I don't know what it is, but lately, I've been wanting to do something, or be part of something big. I don't know what it is yet, but I feel a pull to do something volunteer-oriented. We shall see! Besides that, I don't have much to say, I'll blog later about the rest of my day.

xo, til next time.

One Year Ago

One Year Ago
x. I had just found out I was pregnant
x. I was on the phone with APU, seeing if I could still attend
x. I had never been more scared in my life
x. I was ashamed to go to church
x. I was afraid to tell Carrie
x. I thought my life was ruined

Today
o. I made it through
o. I have a beautiful baby girl
o. I'm making a way for myself, and for my family
o. I'm breaking the mold, and defying statistics
o. I attend 3 churches ( :
o. I'm on the dean's list
o. I'm tired, sore, restless, and still scared out of my mind,

but this by far, as been one of the most amazing years of my life. I have gone from not sure if my relationship with Dominic would last through the pregnancy, to knowing that I am lucky enough to have found my soul mate in middle school. I have gone from being a carefree teenager, to a full time mother. I have gone from my mother's child, to my mother's friend. I have surprised myself. I have become more frugal, and also more giving. More irritable, but kinder. I am everything I never saw coming, and (almost) everything I've always wanted to be.

Most importantly, I'm not ashamed. "God never gives you anything that you can't handle". He's given me strength when I thought I hit rock bottom, and HE is the reason I am here today, sound mind, body and soul. Without Him, there's nothing.

Far as I can tell, this is the life that's best for me. :)

A turn for the better :)

This weekend had a rocky start, as I'm sure you all could tell by my previous posts, that aside, it was lovely :)

I was a bit discouraged Saturday morning after multiple go-sees, and even more application hunts, only to be turned down by all by two restaurants. However, I got home and called a woman named Nancy at Covina Evangelical Free Church, and applied for the job as Nursery Worker. And she was so excited to meet me that today she had me come to the service and I had an informal interview!

So I got to the church this morning, and to my sweet surprise the church (CEFC) is led by Pastor Neal Montgomery, yes, Mark's dad. And Caitlin, Daniel, Hannah, Brian, Kaitlyn, Mark & Mason all attend. It was nice to see (some of) them, although I didn't stay long enough to talk. Next week! :)

Needless to say - I think I got the job. No for sure yes's yet, but I'm praying :))

Tonight Dominic's mom is making a yummy Thanksgiving-style dinner, and I have a lot to be thankful for. God works in mysterious ways. After this past week, I was ready to give up the job hunt, and take a semeseter off at APU to watch Kae. But after this weekend, and a probable job prospect, I am ready and rejuvenated to work on Kae's daycare status, and I am certain that it will all work out in the end. (the end really being the beginning, seeing as she's only 6 months old ;D)

Anyway, that's all for now, lots to organize still before school starts, and I want to take advantage of Kae's naptime :))

xo, til next time.

I'm determined to make a change.

I'm determined to turn this around, to fix it, make it better than it was before. But I can't do it alone. You have to be on board. I will always love you, no matter what, but in order for this to work, we both have to give all of ourselves. I'm afraid of giving and not receiving.

today WILL be a good day.
i hope.

I hate this nasty feeling

I feel like I need to throw up
I have that gross feeling you get right before something bad is going to happen

I just want to fast forward through the next four months.
this is going to be the hardest time of my life.

and I'm afraid I'm not ready.

Oh, get off your high [hobby]horse

I have too many hobbies. I have so many that I start one and can't finish the others. Currently I have

x.multiple unfinished watercolor paintings
x.lots of scrapbooking to do (although I don't have the pictures printed, so that's not entirely my fault)
x.a bathroom to finish painting
x.multiple unfinished crocheting projects (at least two blankets and a scarf)
x.a garden to keep up with
x.a hair-ribbon "business"
& I'm sure there will be more to come.

Gah, I really wish that I could buckle down and just do a project start to finish. The main problem is that I am good at lots of things (see aforementioned list) it's just that I am easily bored/distracted. So I start something, do it for a while, and then come back to it in 6 months. Well, whatever. :P

Anyway, I am going to lunch with Dominic's mom tomorrow. Kinda excited :)) The main reason I am going is to show off princess Kaelyn to Tracie's co-workers, and she said that if I drive all the to Fontana, the least she can do is buy me lunch lol. So, that will be fun. It just means that not only do I have to bath and dress up the baby, I have to bathe and dress-up myself. Oh well, food is my reward, I just gotta keep my eye on the prize :) hah

So today I had lunch with one of my favorite people. Miss Volney Youngstrom (It's like Younquist and Engstrom put together :)) Anyway, we went to our favorite restaurant The Corner Bakery Cafe :) yumm. If you've been there, you know what I mean, if you haven't - go! You will not be dissappointed. I had the salad trio with ceaser, fruit, and potato bacon ranch :) and of course I got my banana carmel baby bundt cake. All this talk about food and no talk about my girlfriend! HA. anyway, Volney is moving back home at the end of this month, and she's gong to be working full-time this year, she's having a hard time making ends meet :/ it's a bummer that I won't be seeing her around APU, but "we're making the best with what we've got" :) I love this girl. Even though she told me she was pregnant.

Speaking of pregnant, I just "met" a wonderful girl, Ashley, who is due in just a couple months with a baby girl! I am so excited for her, and for the life she's about to start! I can already tell that God is working in wonderful ways through this young woman. I cannot wait to meet her in person!

Well, tonight I really don't have much more to say, so like always

till next time, xo.

Good, good day,

This pretty much sums up the attitude of the evening - "They were Wingstop virgins, so I got to pop their Wingstop cherries. And they liked it." Thank you Lindsay.

Loved hanging out with my girls today, it's amazing how much fun we had! :) And Lindsay and I man, we've got sooo many memories! Katie and I do too, and Katie and Lindsay do as well, so it's really neat to go back and see how intertwined all of our lives were/are. One of my favorite quotes of the night was,

"Well Tori, you have a lumpy head too."

"How do you even know that?"

"We were best friends for a long time, we got to know each other reallllly well"

oh Lindsay! :) haha. Other than all of that, it was still a pretty awesome day. I got to work on my garden a little bit (pictures to come when it starts to sprout a bit more), I got to hang with my girls, and I got to end the night hanging out with my babylove:)

This next week is going to be a very busy one. I've got my school work to focus on, I'm going to coffee with Volney Monday, lunch with Tracie Tuesday, out of town relatives are visiting Wednesday, breather Thursday, photoshoot with Lindsay Friday, and my family is leaving for good on Saturday! Yikes! :) It should be fun though!

I'm a little aprehensive as to being home alone for two weeks. I mean, it's one thing to be left alone for a night, or a weekend, or whatever. But two weeks? And then I've gotta lock up when I leave, and then I'm coming home to an empty house. It'll be an interesting month, to say the least :)

Well, bedtime :) I'm going to crash out like this one :)

xo, till next time.
